Hugo Arturi was born in Madrid, Spain and was raised in New York City and Buenos Aires. After endeavors in Jazz & Contemporary Music and Social Sciences at the New School University, Hugo began teaching himself photography while working as a musician

Assisting many of the industry's top photographers, Hugo settled into being 1st assistant/lighting director for renown photographers which gave him unique insight into working in the studio as well as on location

Hugo's images are defined by meticulous attention to lighting and composition. Combining beauty and fashion into a contemporary sensibility deeply rooted in the past. This style is what allows him to collaborate with today's top designers and forward thinking brands
