Hugo Arturi was raised between New York City and Buenos Aires. He studied Jazz & Contemporary Music at the New School for Social Research. In University, Hugo nourished his interest in social research/political science while exploring photography. He went on to assist many of today's most influential photographers before pursuing his own photography work.

Hugo shoots Fashion, Beauty, and Portraiture while working on location and in the studio. His work utilizes it’s surroundings and incorporates them into the image through thoughtful composition and lighting.

In 2016 Hugo screened a documentary titled 4 Stories 4 New York  focusing on Immigration in New York City which he directed and wrote. The collaboration brought together NY based organization VOLS Immigration Project to bring awareness to Immigration, Dreamers, and DACA.

He has directed videos for Matrix, Aussie Hair Care, Armadio, Live Nation, L'Oreal, MILK XYZ, W2TL
